The Akshaya Patra Foundation

Providing fresh and nutritious lunches to over 1.8 million children in 19,257 schools across India every day, The Akshaya Patra Foundation tackles issues of hunger and malnutrition. The organization strives to ensure no child will be deprived of education because of hunger by implementing the Mid Day Meal Scheme in government schools and government-aided schools. We have collaborated with The Akshaya Patra Foundation to create a manual on food safety and hygiene for mid-day meal cooks.
